| Pipe Spring National Monument :- Pipe Spring National Monument preserves an historic fort and other structures built by Mormon pioneers near a year-round spring in the southern Great Basin Desert. The Monument was established by President Calvin Coolidge on May 31, 1923, to memorialize the exploration and settlement of the Southwest. General Information Seasons / Hours Winter (September through May): Monument grounds and Visitor Center/Museum are open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tours of Winsor Castle are offered on the hour and half hour from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's days.
