You may obtain more information by telephone from the Visa Appointment Reservation
System. They can answer your questions and assist you in a variety of ways.
(900) 451-2778 from within Canada - you will be charged CA$2.25 per minute
(900) 443-3131 from within the U.S. - you will be charged US$2.00 per

Fees
Fees for certain USCIS forms changed effective April 30, 2004. The fees
shown below are the correct fees as of April 30, 2004. If your application
or petition is filed or postmarked April 30, 2004 or later, it must be
accompanied by the correct (new) fee.
Fingerprints: Where instructed, you must pay a $70 biometric fee for
electronically capturing fingerprints, in addition to the base filing
fee.
Please be aware that while the fees for certain forms have changed, the
forms themselves may still show the old fee. The correct fee is shown
on this page.
Student Visa
The student must be enrolled in an "academic" educational
program, a language-training program, or a vocational program;
The school must be approved by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
(USCIS);
The student must be enrolled as a full-time student at the institution;
The student must be proficient in English or be enrolled in courses leading
to English proficiency;
The student must have sufficient funds available for self-support during
the entire proposed course of study; and
The student must maintain a residence abroad which he/she has no intention
of giving up.
