Immigrants :-
The Immigration Section of the Canadian Embassy in Berlin will only process immigrant applications made by citizens of Germany or the Netherlands or by persons who have been lawfully admitted to either Germany or the Netherlands for a period of at least one year. If you do not qualify for processing in Berlin, you may wish to determine which Canadian visa office is responsible for immigrant applications from your home country.

Non-Immigrants (i.e. tourists, temporary workers, students): The Immigration Section of the Canadian Embassy in Berlin will process non-immigrant applications made by citizens of any country. However, if you are not a national or a legal resident of either Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland or Liechtenstein, the processing of your application will be extremely lengthy and you may not be issued a visa in time for your proposed visit to Canada. If you are not legally resident in one of these four countries, you are strongly encouraged to submit your non-immigrant application elsewhere.
