Visa Information
Fees
Beginning January 1, 2005, all non-immigrant visa applicants must pay the
non-refundable $100 (N14,000) visa application fee using the eVAPS scratch-card
system or U.S. dollars cash.
The new service provides the following benefits to visa applicants:
1. The service is FREE: applicants only pay the required application
fee.
2. The service is quick: applicants queue in an express line before appearing
before a consular officer for a visa interview.
3. The service is secure: each scratch card is encoded with personal information
and a hidden, random 16-character Private Identification Code (PIC) that
allows consulate staff to verify that applicants have paid the visa application
fee.
4. The service is convenient: applicants or their proxies may go to any
Fountain Trust Bank branch and request an eVAPS card to pay the visa application
fee.
Student Visa
All student visa applicants must pay the non-refundable $100
(N14,000) visa application fee. The fee can be paid by eVAPS or in U.S.
dollars cash. Please note, however, that applicants paying in cash will
experience substantially increased waiting time.
